Homebuyer's Dictionary (glossary)

There are many types of homebuyer seminars. While they all serve various
needs only those that meet the educational requirements, when homebuyer
education is required to use a specific program, are listed on this site.
These seminars are offered by a wide range of providers. Miami Association
of REALTORS® lists these seminars as a public service and believe
they meet the current requirements for homebuyer counseling and/or education
certification.

Homebuyer Education Workshop - Session #2
These classes are mandatory for all first time homebuyers if applying for city or county funds in Miami-Dade County.
The Workshop consists of two sessions that cover the 8-hour curriculum for first-time homebuyers. To receive a training completion voucher, you must attend both sessions.
The workshop walks clients through the home buying process and covers Budgeting and Savings, Credit, The Realtor Process, The Mortgage Process, Home Inspection, The Closing Process and Predatory Lending.
The workshops have a non-refundable $50 registration fee of which $25 is refundable in exchange for your HUD1 document, once you purchase your home. You can view the website at www.miamidade.gov/hfa. For more information, call (305) 373-9750.
